Steel-core aluminum conductor, commonly known as ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced), is an overhead conductor widely used in power transmission and distribution systems. It combines the advantages of both aluminum and steel, achieving an ideal balance between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength.
Core Structure and Composition
Steel core
Located at the center of the conductor, it is typically composed of a single or multiple galvanized steel wires twisted together.
Function: Provides primary tensile strength, supports the self-weight of conductors, ensures the safe operation of the line, and galvanization offers corrosion protection.
Outer-layer aluminum
Made by twisting multiple aluminum wires around a steel core, forming the outer layer of the conductor.
Function: Serving as the primary conductor to transmit electric current.
Export Packaging
1. Steel-wood structured cable reels: Professionally designed and custom-made according to the cable’s weight, length, and other specifications, ensuring they can withstand impacts from stacking, lifting, and transportation.
2. Protective Layer: The outer layer of the outgoing cable reel typically requires reinforced wooden boards to ensure the cable is protected from impacts.
Key Features and Advantages
● Excellent mechanical strength: The steel core provides exceptionally high tensile strength, enabling the conductor to withstand tremendous tension.
● Excellent conductivity: The outer aluminum wire ensures sufficient current-carrying capacity.
● Excellent cost-effectiveness: Although aluminum's conductivity is lower than copper's, it has a much lower density and is relatively more affordable.
Main Application Areas
● Transmission lines: These are the primary conductors of overhead transmission lines, used in distribution networks such as 10 kV, 35 kV, and 110 kV systems.
● Long-span lines: For sections that span rivers, valleys, or other areas requiring significant distances, their high-strength characteristics are particularly crucial.

FAQ
Delivery Method and Shipping Cost
Support FOB (Shanghai Port), CIF (Customer Designated Port), and other terms: FOB price excludes freight and insurance, CIF price includes freight and basic insurance to the destination port. Partner logistics providers include COSCO Shipping, DHL, etc., offering real-time tracking of logistics status via bill of lading number.
Delivery Time
The standard product delivery time is 15-30 days, and customized products take 3-6 weeks. Factors affecting delivery include raw material supply and production scheduling. We ensure delivery through a backup supplier database and intelligent scheduling system. In case of delay, a penalty compensation of 3% will be provided (up to a maximum of 5% of the total order amount).
Minimum order quantity
Different products have different MOQ: Power fittings 500 pieces per model, switchgear 10 units per model. Orders below MOQ will incur a 20% small order surcharge, or can be combined with other products to meet the minimum order quantity requirement.
Company R&D Capability
The R&D team accounts for 15%, with an average annual investment of 5% of sales revenue for technology upgrades. In the past 3 years, 12 utility model patents have been obtained. Customized products can be developed according to customer requirements to meet specific voltage levels and environmental adaptability (such as high temperature and high humidity).
Company Market Distribution
The product is mainly exported to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE), Africa (Nigeria, Kenya), and other regions. In your area (can be identified based on customer IP), there are already 3 cooperative distributors, and anonymous customer case references can be provided (a confidentiality agreement must be signed).
Company History and Experience
Founded in 2005, with 18 years of experience in foreign trade, participated in power grid upgrade projects in multiple countries in Southeast Asia and Africa (such as the construction of a 220kV substation in Vietnam and rural power grid renovation in Kenya), serving customers in over 50 countries.
